Practice, test system and live: what is the difference?

Practice sends nothing, the test system is PRA's sandbox, live are real tax invoices.

  • Practice: nothing is sent to the authority. The receipt says PRACTICE. Use it to learn and to train cashiers. Every new POS account starts with a practice counter.
  • Test system (PRA only): invoices go to PRA's sandbox and get a real answer, without any tax effect. You need a test POS ID from the PRA portal.
  • Live: real tax invoices, counted in your monthly allowance. Live counters need a paid POS plan.
